Verizon Challenges Sprint's 'Most Dependable' Ad Claims
Nov 24, 2009, 2:57 PM by Eric M. Zeman
Verizon Wireless has petitioned against competitor Sprint and wants it to drop advertisements that state Sprint is "America's most dependable 3G network." Following a challenge issued by Verizon, the National Advertising Division of the Council of Better Business Bureaus points to a study that shows Verizon has fewer dropped/blocked calls than Sprint does, and it has asked Sprint to cease airing the ads. Sprint says it will seek an intervention from the National Advertising Review Board.

Sprint was THE FIRST carrier in the US to have a 4G network. Plain and simple.
If Sprint keeps its 4G network expansion at its current rate, they will cover most major cities by the time Verizon has their 4G up and running.
If WiMax doesn't work out, guess what??? They flip a switch to LTE and ship out new compatatble hardware to consumers.
Within a month they would have an LTE network that would cover most of the major US cities.
Sounds like they made a good decision in getting a head start, using whatever technology was available at the time, but they covered their ass by ensuring the ...
