Nokia N900 Now Available in the U.S.

Today Nokia announced that its Maemo 5 based N900 multimedia device is available to U.S. consumers. It will be at Nokia's flagship stores in New York City and Chicago, as well as Nokiausa.com and other retailers for $650.

Tmobile Users can rejoice

Nokia's flagship device with T-mobile 3G will be ready for prime time and able to handle their speed upgrade. Now let's hope they get many more apps...
It is basically running a desktop Linux distro, albeit one that's been slimmed down & optimized for the hardware. But there's already lots of apps available for Maemo, and relatively little work need be done to port even more from existing Linux vers...
