ARM Intros Solution Center for Android Devs
Today ARM announced the opening of a new resource for developers of the Android platform. Android was built to run on the ARM architecture, and the Solutions Center for Android from ARM aims to give developers access to all the tools they need in order to optimize their applications for the Android platform. More than 35 companies have signed up for the Solutions Center for Android and offer community-based support as well as technical documents.
ARM Intros Cortex and Mali Chips for Virtual Reality
ARM today announced the Cortex A73 processor core and the Mali G71 GPU, which will bring dramatic gaming and virtual reality improvements to next year's high-end smartphones. ARM says the A73 delivers 30% more sustained power when compared to the A72, in addition to 30% more power efficiency.
Google Updates Android Wear SDK
Google today released a new version of the Android Wear SDK for developers. The SDK boosts the API level from 22 to level 23, which introduces the new runtime permissions required in Android 6.0 Marshmallow and up.

Intel today said companies that design and build ARM-based processors will for the first time be able to use Intel's manufacturing facilities to make them. Intel will allow its Intel Custom Foundry customers to use its 10nm FinFET process for ARM cores and Cortex series processors.

ARM today announced DynamIQ, a new way to manage multi-core systems that gives them the ability to scale exactly to the tasks or needs at hand. DynamIQ expands on ARM's big.LITTLE technology, which allows for paired sets of high-power and low-power processor cores to tackle specific tasks based on the computing requirements.
