Today Best Buy and Google announced a new initiative that's part of Best Buy's "Walk Out Working" campaign. When customers purchase a new cell phone, the sales representatives will take the time to download and install the Google Mobile App that is compatible with that device. The goal is to help those who aren't familiar with cell phones learn about them and leave the store with a better understanding of how it works.

Gotta love Best Buy!

I tell you I love working for Best Buy Mobile for many reasons but this right here just shows you how a company so big listens to their employees. I had a store visit where territory and corporate employees asked me to compile my top 10 apps and the google app was one of them. Well one of the territory people said "I think we need to look into that app" and couple months later look what we got here.

Grandma heres google

Next they will show them how to turn it on/off, 1 for voicemail and how to make a phone call.

What if the person doesn't get any internet? Will they install Google, let them run their bill up, and then say well just call your carrier. Sorry its not best buys fault.
its downloaded to smart phones only and if you have a smartphone your required to have internet.
