Today MetroPCS announced the addition of two new markets in the state of Florida, Gainesville and Ocala. By adding these two markets, MetroPCS now offers uninterrupted service across the entire state of Florida.

A federal court ruled police can obtain cell phone location records from carriers without first getting a warrant. A Florida man, Quartavious Davis, convicted of seven armed robberies in 2010 argued the cell phone records used to place him in the vicinity of the robberies were protected under the Fourth Amendment.
MetroPCS CDMA Network to Go Dark in June
T-Mobile intends to shutter MetroPCS' legacy CDMA network by late June, according to information on the carrier's web site. The company recently said it had three major metro markets — and about 500,000 customers — still using its CDMA network.

Trust me when I say this Metro still will have lousy coverage in Florida. Doesn't matter if it is the Treasure Coast Or the Gold Coast people in this state for a long time to come will still call it Metro POS.
