Microsoft Lays Out WinMo 6.5 Upgrade Details

Microsoft has indicated that devices currently running Windows Mobile 5.0 and 6.0 will not be able to upgrade to Windows Mobile 6.5. A small number of devices running Windows Mobile 6.1 will be able to upgrade. Those devices include the HTC Dash, Snap/Ozone and Touch Pro2, and the Samsung Jack, Omnia and Epix. Microsoft said that it may make Windows Mobile 6.5 upgrades available to other handsets, but didn't commit to any sort of time frame. The upgrade for the phones listed above will be available directly from the device's associated network operator. No time frames were given for that, either.

I'm afraid the Saga didn't make the official cut for 6.5, probably in part due to the 400mhz processor in the Saga vs. the 528mhz and faster chips on the models liste...
