AT&T Fires Up 850MHz in Colorado Springs

Today AT&T said that it has begun using its 850MHz spectrum holdings to provide service in the Colorado Springs, Colo., area. Users in that region should experience better network performance.

3G on 850MHz

I think the key point missing from the summary is that they've started 3G at 850MHz, not just regular GSM. I have 850 3G in my location in WA and it's much stronger than 1900.
Supposedly I have 3G on 850 here in Las Vegas also, but I have noticed drastically improved service.

What about data speeds. Are your speeds noticably faster? I've been getting maybe like 30% faster speeds recently. Like 1.7-2.2mbps, nothing heren...

Has anyone in one of these newly activated 850Mhz markets seen any improvement? ๐Ÿคจ
yes i have. I usually get 2 bars of 3G then it goes to EDGE, but now i get full 3G everywhere in my home and outside, going to different location around my city i always have 3G full bars. so it has made a big diference. i live in oklahoma city
