USB-IF Says Apple Can Block Palm from iTunes Sync

The USB Implementers Forum has sided with Apple, saying that it is OK to break the Palm Pre's iTunes syncing compatibility. The USB-IF forbid Palm from using a USB-based workaround to provide syncing.

Gosh can't people just. . .

Gosh can't people just drag n drop music onto they're Pre's? They HAVE to sync with stupid Itunes? Can't people just download songs from Itunes to they're PC, then drag n drop to they're Pre.
Of course not. It's a D!ck waiving contest started by palm, and it has turned into a "sword fight" in the boy's restroom in highschool. Palm trying to be the new big guy, apple defending it's title. Whole thing seems silly, but really, palm needs to j...

Yep! I always use the "drag & drop" method to transfer files. I never use iTunes. 😎
whats itunes? never been installed on my computer

I can't believe they wouldn't drag and drop to "they are" Pre. 🙄

when USB-IF was asked for an extended commment...

they could not be reached. They were reportedly at the bank depositing an anonymous check
I don't think Apple had to pay them to enforce their own licensing guidelines.
