Virgin Mobile Confirms Rumor 2 Rumor

Today Virgin Mobile said that it will soon be offering the LG Rumor 2 messaging phone. The Rumor 2 has a QWERTY keyboard, Bluetooth and 1.3 megapixel camera. It is also offered by Sprint, which recently agreed to acquire Virgin Mobile.

Looks like they are positioning it as a Radio Shack only phone. Interesting idea. I know they have had exclusive deals with Best Buy.
I am holding out for the touch screen phone. My money is on another LG...and their touch screens generally are quite good.

No the headling meant the rumor that virgin mobile will be getting the rumor 2 is true. it was bad wording i guess

I have the X-TC on Virgin Mobile, and was hoping Sprint would bring something better than the Lg Rumor 2 to Virgin Mobile.
My Sister inlaw will only put her kids on virgin mobile while she has Sprint. My niece especially has expressed interest in the Rumor but it would have required her to switch to Sprint. This now gives my Sister inlaw a great choice. I think this offer...

Anything "better" would hit a price point that most VM subscribers would be less likely to purchase. So the Rumour is a great offer for the services VM provides.
Roaming on Verizon's network?
Since Sprint and Helio services already utilize Sprint's native network, as well as the Verizon network, I wonder if the new Rumor 2 will do this as well? That would be an incredible selling point. Coverage would be increased.

No you can not. ESN logged as Virgin phone. Kajeet prepaid also uses Sprint equipment (sanyo katanas, m300s, etc.) and I have previously tried these for replacements. Customer care and online thru sprint.com the phones ESN numbers are not found in ...
