Today Verizon Wireless announced that its V CAST Mobile TV (which uses Qualcomm's MediaFLO technology) has gone live in San Francisco, Sacramento and Fresno, California.
Verizon Plans to Use 5G for Residential Broadband In 2018
Verizon Wireless today said it will launch 5G service next year in up to five markets around the country. Rather than provide wireless service, however, the 5G will be offered to residential customers as an alternative to copper or fiber for in-home broadband.

AT&T today said it has launched what it calls 5G Evolution in 117 new markets, bringing the total of pre-5G markets to 141. The company says its 5G Evolution technology can deliver theoretical speeds up to 400 Mbps to properly equipped phones.
