Samsung Announces Omnia II for Verizon
Samsung today announced the Omnia II, including a version for Verizon Wireless. The Omnia II is a Windows Mobile smartphone (upgradeable to version 6.5) and features an AMOLED display with WVGA resolution. Other features include a 5-megapixel auto-focus camera and 3.5mm headphone jack. Pricing and launch date for the Verizon version have yet to be determined.

Verizon Wireless has added the Samsung Galaxy J3 to its lineup of inexpensive smartphones. The J3, which has been for sale from Boost Mobile and other carriers since early this year, has a 5-inch 720p screen, 1.2 GHz quad-core processor, 16 GB (postpaid) or 8 GB (prepaid) of storage, 5-megapixel main camera with flash, 2-megapixel front camera, and 2,600mAh battery.
T-Mobile Outs Windows 10 VR Phone From Alcatel
T-Mobile today listed the "Alcatel IDOL 4S with Windows 10 VR" on its web site. The unique version of the Idol 4S not only runs Windows 10, but sports many of the upgrades available in the related BlackBerry DTEK60, such as the high-end Snapdragon 820 processor, 21-megapixel camera, and USB Type-C connector, none of which are in the standard Idol 4S.
