T-Mobile Clarifies Customer Data Issue
T-Mobile issued the following statement regarding reports of a breach in its data systems. "To reaffirm, the protection of our customers' information and the security of our systems is paramount at T-Mobile. Regarding the recent claim on a Web site, we've identified the document from which information was copied, and believe possession of this alone is not enough to cause harm to our customers. We continue to investigate the matter, and have taken additional precautionary measures to further ensure our customers' information and our systems are protected. At this moment, we are unable to disclose additional information in order to protect the integrity of the investigation, but customers can be assured if there is any evidence that customer information has been compromised, we would inform those affected as quickly as possible." T-Mobile has added, "Following a recent online posting that someone allegedly accessed T-Mobile servers, the company is conducting a thorough investigation and at this time has found no evidence that customer information, or other company information, has been compromised. Reports to the contrary are inaccurate and should be corrected. T-Mobile continues to monitor this situation and as a precaution has taken additional measures to further ensure our customers' information and our systems are protected. As is our standard practice, customers can be assured if there is any evidence that customer or system information has been compromised, we would inform those affected as quickly as possible."

AT&T Admits Employee Accessed Customer Data
AT&T recently informed about 1,600 customers of a breach in their personal data. An unauthorized AT&T employee may have obtained driver's license numbers, Social Security numbers, and information about the AT&T services to which those customers subscribed.
T-Mobile Customer Data Exposed in Hack
T-Mobile today said the personal data of some 15 million customers and applicants was lifted through a hack of Experian, a third-party credit agency that performs services for T-Mobile. According to T-Mobile, the hack exposed customer and potential customer records, including names, addresses, birthdates, and social security numbers between September 2013 and September 2015.
T-Mobile Updates Coverage Map with Customer Data
T-Mobile today unveiled a new coverage map that it claims is far more accurate than the maps offered by its competitors. T-Mobile is populating the map with data generated by its own customers.
AT&T Customer Data Accessed in Security Breach
AT&T recently confirmed that a third-party contractor violated its security protocols and accessed customer data, including Social Security numbers and call records. The breach occurred between April 9 and April 21, but was only revealed by AT&T this week.
