Today Skyfire announced that its beta mobile browser has reached a 1.0 release for both Windows Mobile touch/non-touch and S60 devices. Skyfire supports web standards and plug-ins such as Flash 10, Silverlight 2, Ajax, and Javascript. This allows end users to watch video content on web sites such as Hulu and YouTube as they browse from their mobile phones. The 1.0 release brings with it improved navigation, zooming and interaction, as well as faster launch, a new search function and better power optimization. One new feature includes the ability to type in search queries or URLs while the application itself is first launching. The 1.0 release is available for WinMo and S60 devices starting today. Skyfire also announced a closed alpha for BlackBerry devices. It hopes to launch a beta program for BlackBerries in the new future.

How'd you get this to work?

I got a Sprint Pro, and it says it can't use a sprint gateway. I checked out /users/config, and it shows me how to add a new connection from Microsofts site, but it doesn't say where to have the new connection point to to connect to the internet.

Any input?

This looks awesome.

Anybody using this?
Yeah, I've been using Skyfire for at least 8mo's, and I just downloaded 1.0, the newer version has much, much faster scrolling than the previous version.

This is a great Browser!

I have been using the Beta version for about 6 months on the PPC6800. Very intuitive and added alot of character to the experience. This new version is even more cool. I think I like it better than Opera.
that is awesome...why can't I get it to connect to the net on my 6800???????
