T-Mobile Snags Samsung's T349 Messaging Phone

Today T-Mobile announced the addition of the Samsung T349 to its line-up. The T349 is a mono-block phone has a 20-key keypad that is optimized for messaging. It has tri-band 850/1800/1900MHz GSM/EDGE on board, as well as stereo Bluetooth. It carries a 1.3 megapixel camera, support for microSD cards up to 4GB, and music player. The T349 will cost $15 with a new two-year agreement.

Nice!

I'm not Samsung's biggest fan by any means, but I love that the SureType keyboard seems to be hitting more and more non-BlackBerry devices, most recently the Nokia E52, now this! I used to always say, "I really wish more phone manufacturers would adopt the SureType keypad." Now it seems that's happening more and more. 🙂
