RIM co-CEO Jim Ballsillie confirmed that the company is currently engineering a follow up to the Storm touch-based BlackBerry. He noted that the company believes there is a large consumer segment for such a device. Balsillie said "[the Storm] was a huge success in terms of sales and adoption." He also said, "we have next-generation devices with [touch] and the whole roadmap." Balsillie did not provide any specific details, nor did he say when such a product would reach market.

Good!

What I have heard about the Storm 2 at this point:
-Verizon Version promises to have wifi
-Revised (and hopefully improved) touch input method
-higher res camera
-I would also guess more memory
-Official name is unknown
-OS by then will be 5.x

It's either a love it or hate it type of phone, but there is no denying that the original Storm didn't sell well and the improvements will be welcome.

Disclaimer: I do not work for VZW, RIM, a competitor, I hate Kool-aid, love iphones, RIM products, Android OS's and any phone in general 🤣

RIM's products are great, and there revenue speaks for that. Plus didn't the BB Curve just surpass the Iphone.

I will say the Storm OS sucks but the thing is selling off the VZW shelves.

I myself can get an Iphone, it's AT&T I hate, if it was ...
