Nokia has confirmed that a beta version of its Maps product will now work with Apple computers via the Safari browser. It can be used to plan routes that are later synced to Nokia phones.

Audi, BMW, Daimler to Buy Nokia's HERE Maps
A consortium of three German automotive makers has agreed to purchase HERE Maps from Nokia for about $2.71 billion, according to the Wall Street Journal. Sources familiar with Nokia's plans say Audi, BMW, and Daimler (Mercedes) have fielded a winning bid for the mapping division, which Nokia put up for sale earlier this year.
Android Users Can Now Beta Test Google Maps
Google has rolled out a program that allows people to test beta versions of Google Maps. The betas will be published via the Google Play Store, similar to how Google distributes other a few other beta apps.
Amtrak Routes In the Northeast Added to Apple Maps
Apple has expanded mass transit directions in Apple Maps thanks to the addition of Amtrak routes along the Northeast Corridor. iPhone and iPad owners can now plan routes that include Acela Express, Northeast Regional, Pennsylvanian, Maple Leaf, and other lines to points between Boston and Washington, D.C.
