Today Samsung announced a new highly rugged phone that can withstand shock, vibration, and is certified at IP57 for ingress protection against dust, water (up to 30 minutes at 1 meter), salt fog, and hot and cold temperature extremes. The B2100 Xplorer is a quad-band GSM/EDGE bar style phone that also has a loud speakerphone, noise cancellation, FM radio, 1.3 megapixel camera, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, microSD support and flashlight. The B2100 will primarily be offered in European markets, though it is compatible with GSM networks in North America.
