Today Facebook announced that it has extended its Facebook Connect service to the iPhone. Facebook Connect breaks down some barriers between social networking sites and lets users interact between them. To start, nine mini applications, mostly games, will be available via the iTunes App Store that will integrate with Facebook and Facebook users' network of friends. Facebook Connect users will then be able to play their friends over the air, locate them in real time, and share other information. Facebook said more of the mini applications will be made available over time.
