DRM-Free Version of 'Comes With Music' in the Works
According to a report, Nokia is working to offer its 'Comes With Music' service without the shackles of digital rights management. Speaking to a Singapore-based news outlet, Nokia's Director of Global Digital Music Retail, Adam Mirabella, said, "We have dialogs going with all of our partners and Digital Rights Management-free (DRM-free) is also on the roadmap for the future integration of 'Comes With Music'." Mirabella didn't provide any other details.

Apple today made available iOS 8.4, a system update for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch that installs Apple Music. Apple Music is Apple's new streaming music service and is part of an all-new Music app for iOS devices.
Apple Music Gets the Attention of Antitrust Regulators
New York and Connecticut want to be sure Apple Music, the new streaming service announced by Apple this week, doesn't violate antitrust rules. Universal Music Group, responding to requests from the attorneys general of New York and Connecticut, said it is not colluding with Apple nor its rivals to impede competition in the music streaming market.
Google Play Music to Be Default Music Player on All Samsung Devices
Google and Samsung today said starting with the launch of the Galaxy S8 and S8+, Google Play Music will be the default music player and music service on Samsung phones and tablets globally. Consumers who buy the S8 or S8+ will receive a free three-month trial of Google Play Music, which offers ad-free access to some 40 million tracks.

Apple will distribute iOS 8.4 beginning at 8AM/11AM Pacific/Eastern on June 30, according to Apple Music Senior Director Ian Rogers. The updated operating system installs Apple Music, Apple's monthly music service.
