Google Unfurls GPS Support In Maps for the Storm
Google has created a new version of Maps for Mobile specifically for the BlackBerry Storm. The new version can access the Storm's internal GPS for more accurate functionality. It also enables the My Location feature and the Latitude location-sharing service that Google recently announced. This new version of Google Maps does not support GPS in older BlackBerries on Verizon's network.

Google today made it possible for Maps users to share their exact location with friends and family. In Maps, users need only tap the blue dot (signifying their location) and select those with whom they'd like to share.

Google Maps Gains Support for 39 New Languages
Google today said it has updated Google Maps with support for 39 new languages. The new languages, some of which include Afrikaans, Burmese, Croatian, Danish, Finnish, Hebrew, Indonesian, Malay, Norwegian, Romanian, Swedish, Turkish, and Vietnamese, bring Maps to some 1.25 billion additional people around the world.
Google Cleans Up Maps UI
Google today rolled out a fresh version of Maps for Android, iOS, and the web with a cleaner user interface. Google says it eliminated unnecessary UI elements, such a road outlines, while simplifying the typography for street names, points of interest, and more.
