Today Broadcom announced that it has created a new type of combination wireless chip driver that supports the Android platform. Broadcom's drivers combine the ability to control Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and an FM radio that are located on a single chip. Right now, Android's drivers support these radios individually, but not on one piece of silicon. Broadcom's BCM4325 drivers will be added to the Android platform so it will support combination wireless chips in future devices.
