House of Reps Nixes DTV Delay Bill
In a vote held today, the U.S. House of Representatives failed to pass the proposed bill that would delay the transition to digital TV signals by four months. The bill needed two thirds of the House to pass. It is not immediately clear what the bill's future is, though the Senate passed the bill earlier this week, and it has the support of President Obama.
