Today MetroPCS announced a new, nationwide calling plan that includes unlimited voice minutes. MetroPCS Unlimited Nationwide will provide coverage in over 300 cities across the continental U.S. This expanded footprint will be included at no additional cost to subscribers of MetroPCS' current $45 and $50 service plans. It can be added for $5 per month on other qualified service plans.
Wishful Thinking
Maybe this signals MetroPCS becoming serious about becoming a nationwide carrier. It would be great if they made a play for some of the spectrum which Verizon will have to divest. I know that AT&T will likely try to step in and seize much of the spectrum, but I would prefer to see a smaller carrier build itself.
this has nothing to do with the verizon divestures...metro and its competitor agreed on a roaming agreement. now they're customers can go in and out of each other's markets and still use their unlimited service. i'm excited bout it bc if it works out ...

Wow......
hell must have frozen over....lol but that would be nice to not have to go across the street and have to worry about $1.50/minute roaming. Now all they need to do is get some pda's and better call quality...so far their going in the right direction with this.
