Google Opens Up Android

Today Google provided the Android platform as an open source operating system to anyone who chooses to download it. Everything is available, from the bootloader all the way up to the applications. The operating system is free.

to port Android to the Treo's & Q's

That would roxor. I would so get a Motorola Q9c or a Treo/Centro just to port Android to it. 😁

Its about time!

Its about time that a mobile operating system becomes open source! All the linux users must be proud! 🙂
