Mobile Version of Firefox 'Weeks Away'

Speaking in an interview, Mozilla CEO John Lilly said that the company is just weeks away from providing an alpha version of Mobile Firefox. The mobile browser from Mozilla was first announced a year ago. Lilly did not say which platforms would be supported first.

Saving the best for last!

I had a feeling they would be coming out with a browser soon for cell phones soon. Especially with everyone else like IE, Safari, and Opera already have good browsers shipped already onboard the phone. I guess since they just upgraded the pc version of Firefox they have some time to work on mobile versions. I need this on my phone asap! I wonder how this will measure up against other browsers and the pc version 😎
Pocket IE isn't a good mobile browser, nobody uses it, most people download Opera Mini 4.1, that what I have loaded on my Nokia N95-3.

The HTC Touch HD comes pre-loaded with Opera Mobile.
I dont use IE either the ones I use are Blazer and Opera currently. Also the Diamond and Pro come with Opera already installed the HD wont be out for a while.

Android Support

I really hope there is going to be an Android version coming out too. That would be awesome. And flash support too.
Yeah, that would be dissapoinging if it didn't support flash, c'mon now this almost 200!9! already.

One thing I like about Opera Mini 4.1 is how it reformats pages into a collumn, easier to read on a cell phone screen that way.
