AT&T Chops PTT Rates

AT&T has cut the monthly fee for unlimited push-to-talk services from $10 to $5 to match pricing of Verizon's PTT offering. Sprint still charges $10 for equivalent PTT services. The news came with today's announcement of the Samsung A837 Rugby.

Verizon Wireless dropped there PTT charge to 5.00 about 2 months ago!

Your right they are on top things...minus the PTT. I work for Sprint (and have a Sprint phone) and live in a Verizon area, (and have a Verizon phone.) So many companies that had Verizon jumped on the wagon with their PTT and returned them not long aft...

Nextel's network is TINY compared to AT&T and Verizon

Nextel's iDEN coverage is puny compared to AT&T's or Verizon's. I know they don't have service up here in Mendocino County in Northwestern California, nor in many other areas of NorCal. So, you can have your iDEN phone that is a useless paperweight in areas like mine, give me an AT&T or Verizon PTT phone that actually works in most places 🙂

agreed i work for sprint and they only charge $10 for the feature if not already included on the plan (which most of them do), one down fall is that none of the family plans include the DC which is where the $10 feature would take its place.

It's Well Worth The 5 bucks

No one offers any other ptt that can come close to sprint iden. This service has been arount for years if you are the everyday customer paying $5 bucks for the service is great for business customers they want the best ptt law enforcement, government etc. The iden nextel now included with sprint direct connect has the largest community so you are getting what you pay for or should I say It's worth $5 bucks to talk to fewer people verses millions enough said.... 😳 😳 😳
