Today Sprint officially announced its QChat push to talk service, as well as a number of phones that it will launch with QChat capability in the coming months. QChat uses Sprint's EV-DO Rev. A network to pass PTT messages from handset to handset and offers similar functionality to Sprint's iDEN network phones. It will set up PTT calls in less than one second, and can send Direct Connect, Group Connect and Call Alerts. Sprint said the service will work on a number of phones, including the Sanyo Pro 200 and Pro 700, the LG LX 400, the Motorola MOTO V950, and the Samsung Z400 and Z700. All the phones will be able to browse the web at Rev. A speeds. The two Sanyo models will be available first, with the rest following in the summer.

Can't wait!

I can't wait to have these in my store. Nextel is still a pretty big deal in terms of customers in my area, so once these come in and QChat gets up and running, we can start working on getting people off that sinking ship!
same here... cant wait... day 1 those come out ill be getting one just to have it and promise this weekend we will be out of stock on them
I saw all the new news, and i thought that it was all april fools! I agree that Qchat will be awesome, and btw, why is there such a barrage of news all of the sudden?? 😕
...
If I can just get some in to my stores, I'd be all set!
...
haha, makes me laugh because i push sprint as much as i can, and nextel may account for 5% of sales...lol
