Fuel Cells Could Double Phone Battery Life by 2010
Angstrom Power recently completed trials of a fuel cell system that effectively doubled talk time and the overall battery life in mobile phones. The trial involved a Motorola SLVR L7 and a fuel system that fit inside the phone without modification. The Micro Hydrogen platform uses a new fuel cell architecture, micro-fluidics and a refillable hydrogen storage tank to provide power. Angstrom believes the technology could be built into phones as early as 2010, but the logistics of refilling/recharging systems have yet to be worked out.
Micro-LED Backlights Could Bring OLED Performance to LCD Screens

While most LED chips are around 1mm, Rohinni's micro-LEDs are many times smaller and can be placed precisely on thin, flexible plastic sheets.

if i understand right
Heck, I'll believe it when it's actually on the market, I'm kinda pissed, I have the Nokia N95-3, and a spare battery for my phone is frinkin $55, that is absolutley outrageous!!!!!!
That's just as much as a car battery!!...
How do you explain the liquid damage. Oops I dropped my phone and now the Hg is leaking into the electrical components on my phone.
uh, no. Surprisingly, hydrogen really isn't all that explosive. It's far too light. Those dramatic pictures you see of the Hindenburg are actually of the flammable varnish on the gas bag burning, not of the hydrogen itself.
And it's a...
I'd rather have Stanford's Li-Ion battery
Can we make it out of CO2?
The Stanford battery sure sounds better. Ten times the power, presumably rechargeable by standard means, and no having to pay for refills.
oh yeah? remind me in 2 ****ing years then...
