Yahoo! Widgetizes Its Mobile Platforms

Yahoo today will announce new versions of its mobile homepage as well as its Yahoo! Go applications that will not only refresh the look and the services offered, but will also allow users to add new content using Widgets. Sites like MTV, MySpace and eBay have all built widgets for the refreshed service, and other sites will be able to build their own using a toolkit from Yahoo.
Yahoo Improves Search In Mobile Browsers
Yahoo today said it has refreshed how it displays mobile search results in a way that will help people find what they're looking for quicker. Yahoo explains that rather than offer lists of links, the new search presents results — including images, videos, news, and other details — prominently in a way that's more useful.
Yahoo Revamps Mobile Apps and Home Page
Yahoo today unveiled a redesigned home page on the web and new, corresponding apps for Android and iOS devices. Yahoo said the new design should make news and other content easier to find, read, and share.
Yahoo's Android App Catches Up to iOS Version
Yahoo today pushed out an update to its Android application that brings it inline with the iOS app, which it refreshed in January. The Android Yahoo app is now more visually engaging and makes it easier to access articles, polls, and blogs from Yahoo's digital magazines, such as Yahoo Autos, Yahoo Sports, and others.
Yahoo Adds Gmail Support to Yahoo Mail
Yahoo Mail today gained the ability to manage Gmail and Google Apps accounts. Yahoo relaunched the app in October and made it compatible with AOL, Hotmail, and Outlook.
