JetBlue, RIM, Yahoo to Offer Free In-Flight Wi-Fi
On Tuesday, December 11, JetBlue will offer free Wi-Fi to passengers as part of a test of in-flight Internet access. Passengers with laptops and Wi-Fi-equipped BlackBerries will be able access Yahoo-customized email, instant messaging services, and their corporate email on an A320 plane called BetaBlue. If customers react favorably to the service during the course of the trials, which are set to last several months, JetBlue will install the service on more planes.

Yahoo today rolled out a new version of its email application for Android devices that carries over changes applied to the iOS version last month. Yahoo email for Android continues to serve as a dedicated, mobile link to the Yahoo inbox, but Yahoo added several new features.

Yahoo today said it has refreshed how it displays mobile search results in a way that will help people find what they're looking for quicker. Yahoo explains that rather than offer lists of links, the new search presents results — including images, videos, news, and other details — prominently in a way that's more useful.

JetBlue First Airline to Accept Apple Pay In-Flight
JetBlue Airways today announced that it will soon accept Apple Pay aboard its aircraft. Owners of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus will be able to use their smartphone to purchase goods and service, such as snack boxes, premium beverages, and a la carte food options, while on board.
