Windows Mobile Update Leak Shows New Features

A Motorola Q9h was recently leaked with an updated version of Windows Mobile, a version 6.1. It includes a number of new features including a new home screen similar to the one seen on T-Mobile's Shadow, threaded text messaging and contact search in the messaging "To:" field, as well as copy and paste of text. It was recently revealed that Microsoft would deliver an update for Windows Mobile to manufacturers in the first quarter of 2008, and is likely that this leak is an early version of what Microsoft is preparing.
Instagram for Windows Grabs Huge Update
Facebook today announced three new apps for the Windows 10 platform, including a proper Instagram app for phones, and dedicated Facebook and Messenger apps for desktops. The Instagram app for Windows 10 Mobile includes features that have long been available only to the Android and iOS apps, including Instagram Direct, videos, the Explore tab, and more.
Windows 10 for PCs Lands July 29; No Word On Mobile
Microsoft today announced that Windows 10 will be available as a free download to PCs and tablets on July 29. Most hardware running Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 should be able to upgrade to the new operating system.
Microsoft Says Older Phones Won't Get Windows 10 Until 2016
Microsoft today said owners of handsets running Windows Phone 8 / 8.1 will have to wait a bit longer to receive Windows 10. The update was originally expected to arrive this month, but Microsoft has now delayed the rollout.
