Responding to complaints about high overseas iPhone data roaming charges, AT&T has developed a new plan. For $24.99 more than users' existing data plans, they will get 20MB of international data, and will be charged $0.005 per kilobyte for anything above 20MB. Users can also opt to spend $59.99 per month more than their existing data plans for 50MB of data, with the same overage charge per kilobyte. These rates apply only to 29 countries in which AT&T has roaming partnerships in place. Roaming outside of these countries will incur $0.0195 per kilobyte fees.

wow

that's... well interesting. Seems pretty spendy, especially when you've already forked out $400-$600 for the phone itself. They could have atleast given you more than 50mb for $60. I think they can do better.
hey, if you're going overseas enough to incur massive data charges, you can AFFORD any iPhone plan.

dont know why this is news

These plans have been in the system for the better part of a month. I don't see how it's all the sudden big news.
