Motorola Unveils U9

The U9 is a quad-band, GSM-based clamshell that focuses on music. It has a borderless touch-sensitive external display that lets users access the music features of the phone and also shows floating wallpaper. It is compatible with Windows Media Player 11 for sideloading music and supports up to 4GB of storage in the microSD slot. It also has stereo Bluetooth, a 2 Megapixel camera and updated voice recognition software. It will be available in Europe, Latin American and Asian markets in the fourth quarter.

PEBL2?

Looks a lot like it, but a lot sharper too. I like what I see so far.
I'm glad im not the only one that thinks that it looks exactly like the pebl. Based on looks i'm not too impressed, it looks sleek and all but is getting to be an old design. If they're going to be putting touch controls I would expect a different t...

The original PEBL was the U6. This model is the U9. so yes, it pretty much is the PEBL2.

too bad we won't see it in the US market for a while. When and if we do, I'm sure T-Mobile will carry it.
