MetroPCS Launches Service In LA

MetroPCS has added the greater Los Angeles metropolitan region to its coverage area. It already has a presence in San Francisco and Sacramento in California. MetroPCS does not require contracts and offers several different unlimited talking plans. MetroPCS already has six stores and 400 authorized resellers operating in the region, but in order to better serve the area, it plans to open 20 retail stores over the next two years. Customers who sign up will receive their first month of service for free.
MetroPCS to Sell the iPhone
T-Mobile's prepaid brand, MetroPCS, today said it will soon sell the entire range of iPhones from Apple. MetroPCS plans to kick off iPhone sales at select stores in Florida on July 1, but will expand to all stores around the nation soon.

MetroPCS today announced several promotions meant to entice consumers to ditch their carrier in favor of MetroPCS. For starters, customers who activate a new line on a $40 or higher service plan will receive an extra 1GB of LTE data per month on top of whatever data bucket they choose.

MetroPCS today unrolled a handful of promotions that may appeal to customers with multiple lines. For example, people who port in their number to MetroPCS will receive $60 to spend on any smartphone that MetroPCS sells.
