I'm SERIOUSLY considering this phone to replace my Motorola Q.
Can you browse to www.xmradio.com and listen to your xm radio account there?
Like on a regular pc browser?

Don't see why not. You'll have to have a browser running which could run the battery down.

Windows Outlook Mobile on Onmia?

Conflicting info: Windows Mobile web site says Omnia has Outlook. Samsung, Verizon & CNET don't mention Outlook as part of the software. What's the scoop?

Outlook Mobile is a core feature of Windows Mobile; all Windows Mobile devices have it.

omnia vs storm vs dare

I work at vzw and I have to admit that the storm has not impressed me too much. There is an extreme wait for the pone to turn itself on after hitting the power button. Also, the lag when pressing icons or opening files is noticeable, especially vs some of the other devices. The consensus from most business customers is that it is great for email and pictures, but there is a large adjustment if you are coming from a curve/pearl etc.
I currently use the dare, and just ordered the omnia. The dare is great for the screen, excellent response times and surprisingly long battery life.Reception is top notch as well.

Samsung Omnia recomendation

Looking for a new phone (STORM vs Dare vs Omnia)

Does this phone have?
Phone clarity and Reception (better than storm)
Speaker Phone (Loud and Clear)
Strong vibration feature.
Descent Media and Video Player
2 day battery life

The BBStorm has a weak vibrate, cannot feel vibration in pocket
Is a data plan required? Not interest in texting or internet access
Do you have any recommendations? (Verizon Customer)

Screen Quesiton

Rich,

How is the screen on the Omnia? I've heard people raving about the Touch Pro and how vibrant the screen is. I know that the screens are not the same, but would you consider the Omnia's screen poor in comparison to other phones?

I wouldn't call it "poor", but the resolution isn't crazy high like the Touch Pro, and it is a bit less than the iPhone and Storm.

The advantage of a lower-resolution display is speed. The Omnia is possibly the most responsive Windows Mobile device...

i was waiting for the storm, and the touch pro, but i think the omnia just rained on both of their respective parades

I like the looks of this as well. The only two glaring downsides (in my opinion of course) is the lask of any type of physical keyboard, and the stylus being a pen-type object that does not store in/on the device.
