Nokia's first flagship phone in the US in many years is the Nokia 8 V 5G UW for Verizon. The 8 V is a variant of the Nokia 8.3 5G, Nokia's first 5G phone globally. The 8 V adds mmWave 5G and comes in a Meteor Gray finish, but is otherwise identical to the 8.3 5G. The 8V will be available from Verizon and Best Buy for $700 starting November 12th. It's powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G chipset. Key specs include a large 6.8-inch display, large 4,500 mAh battery, 64 megapixel main camera with Zeiss lens, 12 megapixel wide camera, and a 24 megapixel selfie camera. It also has fast charging, a headset jack, memory card slot, and dedicated programmable shortcut button. The fingerprint reader is integrated into the lock button on the side. The premium design is made from metal and 3D curved glass. HMD Global, the company behind Nokia phones, will run a US marketing campaign for the 8 V starring Lashana Lynch from the 25th James Bond film, No Time To Die.
