LG Adds Two Clamshells To CDMA Lineup

LG today announced:
- VX-8700: The 8700 is a new addition to LG's Shine family of phones, and the first one for the US. This mid-range clamshell has EV-DO for data and a 2 megapixel camera. The 8700 supports stereo Bluetooth and a microSD slot for storing media. The exterior casing is metal, and has a brushed aluminum appearance. The exterior display is a narrow vertical strip that blends in with the metal casing until activated.
- LX-570: The 570 is a music centric phone with a design similar to the Fusic that has a touch-sensitive, exterior music controller D-pad. It is a clamshell with an integrated antenna that also features EV-DO data support, a 1.3 megapixel camera, stereo Bluetooth and an FM transmitter and radio. The music player plays most formats and has a microSD slot for storage.
Huawei Honor 5X Steps Up Premium Design for a Low Price
Huawei today announced the Honor 5X for the U.S., a phone very similar to the Huawei GX8 announced earlier today, but with a more premium design and $150 cheaper. The Honor 5X has a diamond-polished aluminum alloy casing.
Idol 4 Now On Sale at Cricket Wireless
Cricket Wireless today said the Alcatel Idol 4 is now available for sale from its web site. The Idol 4 is the smaller brother of the Idol 4S.
Blu Vivo 5 Has Unibody Metal Design
Blu today announced the Vivo 5 and Vivo XL affordable Android smartphones. Both have a premium design, and similar specs.
Samsung Crowns Its Galaxy A Series with a 6-Inch Phablet
Samsung has revealed the Galaxy A9, the largest of its refreshed Galaxy A series handsets with a 6-inch full HD display. The Galaxy A phones sit just below the Galaxy S phones in terms of features and specs.
What happened to the slider?
Regardless, what happened to the mirrored screens like the Shine had? I think that that's something everyone was looking forward to on this model and it didn't deliver.
The question now is, when will we see this phone on VZW?
from what i hear, this will actually be codenamed the fusic 2
If the speakerphone works well, the vx8700 is perfect...
