Google today added two new tools to Datally, its app for helping people manage their monthly mobile data. First, Emergency Bank lets people set aside a small reserve of data that will remain unused. People can tap into the reserve for emergencies after they've consumed the bulk of their data. The second tool, called Bedtime Mode, prevents zombie apps from running in the background during the overnight hours to stop data leakage. Bedtime Mode shuts off all use of mobile data at night. Google says both tools are available in the latest build of Datally, which is free to download from the Google Play Store.
