Google has quietly published a separate Google Lens app for Android phones in the Google Play Store. Like the version of Lens that’s buried in Google Photos and some camera apps, Google Lens lets people perform image-based searches directly from their smartphone camera. People can use Lens to seek out information on landmarks, menu items, plants, animals, clothes, and more. Google Lens is free to download from the Play Store, though it is not compatible with all devices.
