Kodiak today announced that RIM has licensed a Java version of its software, including its Push To Talk (PTT) client. RIM has already launched a version of this software on the Blackberry Pearl for Cingular. Because of this new licensing agreement, additional PTT enabled models are expected for Cingular as well as Alltel, both of which use Kodiak's PTT technology.

Kodiak is NOT a good service at all!

👿 I am very upset that people just throw things out there without even putting up some evidence to support there conclusions.

KODIAK is like going back-wards with PTT technology.

Read about reaction timing of the kodiak network.

I'm not going to get into A debate.

Just what it boils down to for the consumer...

If IDEN isn't allso going to work with RIM.. on this new technology they want to implement on there phones then the consumer looses.

There are A also allot of things wrong here..

The biggest being

there is NO back-wards compatibility with the IDEN network.

Like i said , if the end user uses this as A primary PTT medium infinitely then he/she will loose in the long run.

Regards,
iDEN is dead...accept it and move on...
