Motorola V3xx Coming To Cingular

Article Comments  26

The FCC has approved a version of Motorola's 3G RAZR, the V3xx today with specific references to Cingular in the User Manual. The model that was approved has a quad-band GSM/EDGE with 850/1900 WCDMA, also indicating it is bound for Cingular. In addition the V3xx has a 1.3 megapixel camera, MicroSD slot, stereo Blueooth, and support for streaming audio and video. However there is no mention of Cingular's new music syncing service. Surprisingly, the pictures and diagrams clearly show the phone has an internal camera for video calling, but the manual does not mention the camera or video calling at all. Cingular has not officially announced the RAZR V3xx, so there is no price or release date for this phone yet.

Urghh...I have to admit it...

When the RAZR first came out I hated it; I used to harangue about how it was just a v620 in a different housing with a crappy external screen....then my sister got a black RAZR. Almost all of my phones have had features that pwnt the RAZR but something about it is a bit alluring, the thiness is impeccable. For example, the Samsung d807 it is severely lacking in terms of usability but it looks nice and the thinness does make it more appealing to me. I would rather my w810i any day over it but the aesthetics compensate for its technical shortcomings. I have to give it to Cingular for stop trying to only appeal to the average consumer with the RAZRs of "different flavors" and started advertising phones of this nature; I would consider myself a ...

blue dot

Those FCC guys are about as smart as the users of the phone....leaving the blue packing sticker on up there by the main speaker...sheesh
That's always frustrated me. It's extremely bad packaging design.

I can't blame users who don't know to remove it. Other than the fact that it's ugly, it really looks like it's supposed to be there. Although I really don't think it's necessary at a...

Too bad it's not the v3maxx

i knew moto had something in the pipes from moto for 3G, but i was hoping it would be the maxx - just for a change of pace. i'd almost get it if ppl wouldn't come up to me and say "is that a razr?"
HUH????
It wouldn't surprise me if they released a version of the maxx or v3x shortly. I'm just glad that razrs with vga call cameras are coming to the states.
