Google Opinion Rewards Hits iOS
Google has made Google Opinion Rewards available to iOS users through a new app. As it does on Android handsets, Google Opinion Rewards will send surveys to iOS devices that people can complete for cash rewards. Google says surveys have between one and 10 questions, and always take less than 30 seconds to complete. iPhone owners can earn up to $1 for each completed survey. Google says iPhone users will have to link their PayPal account to make use of the rewards (on Android, the rewards are deposited into users' Google Play accounts.) The Google Opinion Rewards app is free to download from the iTunes App Store.
Samsung to Reward Samsung Pay Users
Samsung today announced the pending launch of Samsung Rewards, a loyalty program for its Samsung Pay mobile payment service. Moving forward, people who sign up for Samsung Rewards will be able to earn points with Samsung when they use Samsung Pay to pay for goods and services.
Android Pay Rings Up Chase In the US
Google today said Chase has agreed to support Android Pay on Android smartphones and other devices. Starting immediately, Chase customers can add their eligible Chase Visa debit/credit card to Android Pay and make tap-and-go payments wherever Android Pay is accepted.
Google Brings Cardboard Camera App to iOS, Enables Sharing
Google today made it easier for more people to take and share 360-degree photos. The company has made its Cardboard Camera application available to iOS devices, allowing iPhone owners to capture 360-degree shots and look at them via the Google Cardboard VR viewer.
Walgreens Integrates Balance Rewards with Apple Pay
Walgreens today made it possible for iPhone owners to add their Walgreens Balance Rewards loyalty card to Apple Pay. Walgreens has 85 million Balance Rewards members.
Send Places from Google Maps to Your iPhone
Google recently provided an update to its Maps app for iOS that adds the ability to send places from Maps on a desktop to an iPhone. The feature, which has been available to Android phones for several months, requires iPhone owners to enable notifications for Maps.
