T-Mobile today announced the Dash - a small, slim Windows Mobile Smartphone with a thumb size keyboard. The Dash is based on the HTC S620, and features a landscape QVGA screen and QWERTY keyboard in a plackage slightly smaller and sleeker package than the Motorola Q. It features quad-band GSM/EDGE with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, as well as a 1.3 Megapixel Camera and Micro SD slot. The Dash is also part of T-Mobile's new line of My Faves compatible handsets. Updated: T-Mobile will begin selling the Dash on October 25 for $199 with a 2 year contract.

It was annouced today that the launch was pushed back from the 16th to the 25. Nothing wrong with the unit, more a logistics thing.

Price.

$199 seems like an exceedingly good deal for a handset like this.

Y'know. . .

It doesn't feel like a real phone until it shows up in the Phonescoop listings. Even though this has been mentioned by Engadget, Engadget Mobile, Gizmodo, Mobileburn and countless others, it still won't be real to me until I see the hard & fast specs on the HTC page for devices.

Phonescoop just feels much more authentic.
