ZTE Quartz Is An Affordable Android Watch
ZTE today announced the Quartz, the company's first Android Wear smartwatch. The Quartz offers core tools for a modern wearable, including Android Wear 2.0, LTE connectivity for standalone calls and messaging, and an IP67 rating for protection against liquids and dirt. The watch features a 1.4-inch AMOLED display with Gorilla Glass 3 and it is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon Wear 2100 platform. It includes a 500mAh battery, Bluetooth, GPS, and WiFi. The Quartz also offers interchangeable wrist bands. The ZTE Quartz costs $199 and is compatible with T-Mobile's network. It will be available on TMobile.com beginning Friday, April 14 and in select T-Mobile stores beginning Friday, April 21.

Huawei today said its Android-based smartwatch will go on sale this month for $349, putting it in Apple Watch territory. The wearable will come with several face variations, including stainless steel, black stainless steel, and rose gold, with leather, steel, and gold strap options.

Verizon Wireless today said its Wear24 Android Wear 2.0 smartwatch is available online and in stores. Verizon announced the device earlier this year.

LG's second Android Wear 2.0 offering announced today is the Watch Style, a smaller, simpler offering when compared to the Watch Sport. The Watch Style trades plastic materials for silver, titanium, and rose gold enclosures with an exchangeable leather wrist strap.
Verizon to Sell Exclusive Wear24 Android Watch
Verizon Wireless is preparing its own branded Android Wear 2.0 smartwatch, called the Wear24, for a March release. The company announced the wearable alongside the LG Watch Sport today.
Google Delays Android Wear 2.0 Until 2017
Google today released Android Wear 2.0 Developer Preview 3 and also shared some details on the timing for the platform's public launch. The biggest addition to the preview operating system is the availability of the Google Play Store on Android Wear devices.
