Google recently made it easier for iPhone owners to save the contents of their devices in the cloud. Google Drive now includes several options within the iPhone app for backing up contacts, calendar events, and photos/videos. The idea is to make it easier for iPhone owners to eventually switch to an Android handset. The app does not backup call history, messages, or files such as music. Google warns the initial backup may take several hours and is best completed via WiFi. Google Drive is free to download from the iTunes App Store.
