Samsung has launched a product exchange program for the Galaxy Note7. It says it has identified the batch of devices impacted by the battery problem and has halted all sales as a precaution. The company is offering people who bought a Note7 several options. First, customers can exchange their Note7 for a new Note7 beginning at some point next week. Second, customers can exchange the Note7 immediately for a Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge. Samsung will replace any Note7-specific accessories customers may have purchased, and refund the price difference between the Note7 and S7/S7 Edge. Samsung said customers who take advantage of the exchange program will be given a $25 gift card or bill credit from the retail or carrier store. Samsung advises concerned customers to contact or visit the store in which they bought the phone. Customers may call Samsung (1-800-SAMSUNG) to resolve other concerns. The company this week recalled the device due to fires caused by malfunctioning batteries.
Samsung is a joke!
This is what happens when you make a gazillion phones a year lol everyone of them fail! This issuse just cost them big time, could be worse though. Imagine using the VR headset and BOOM!!!
Good news is you Note 7 users have to wait until next week, so return those ****ty phones and ditch android, iPhone 7 is coming and at a great time for YOU !
Would you be referring to the same iPhone7 that doesn't even have a headphone jack, forcing everyone who wants to use their current headphones to buy an adapter?
I am truly touched by your concern for what phone others whom you'll never meet carry, you've got a big heart. You've got that going for you at least.
Innovation can have consequences
Apple fanboys will troll this post as it seems the iOS/Android anger on the internet is popular. I carry a Note 5 and iPhone 6s Plus and I can tell you they are both fantastic products. The fact that Samsung stepped up to the plate to voluntary recall all Note 7s is a huge step in the right direction even though it is at a sensitive time with Apple releasing new phones soon. The fact is Samsung is an innovator, and like Apple they outsource lot of components which are made by other companies. Samsung could not possibly know the battery was going to be a fire hazard as they probably tested their phones with factory chargers in factory conditions. I bet Samsung will learn from this and test their batteries more rigorously next time. Keep...

Given the class lawsuit filed against Apple for the 'touch screen disease' issue, Apple fans have no room to talk.
And at least Samsung is being transparent about the problem when Apple faced a similar issue with Macbook Pro batteries exploding, Ap...

Fire Extinguish
Perhaps Samsung could send everyone a free fire extinguisher. That would be less expensive, and post a fire extinguisher as an official Samsung accessory for future purchases. Buy a Samsung Note 7, get a FREE FIRE EXTINGUISHER. How cool would that be. 🙂
