Verizon's recently revealed version of the Chocolate phone (VX 8500) will be joined by another new design icon, the Motorola Canary. Filings with the Bluetooth SIG indicated Motorola would be launching a CDMA version of the phone with Verizon. Today Engadget Mobile received confirmation that this was the case, thanks to pictures of the device running Verizon's unified interface. The Bluetooth SIG filings also indicated that the Canary will be called the RAZR K1 on GSM networks and K1c on Verizon. There is still no launch date for the new Motorolas as they have not been officially announced yet, however Phone Scoop has recently learned the the Chocolate is set to launch by mid-July.

LG Chocolate Phone for Verizon Release Date??

Ok! How can you report on the front page that the LG Chocolate phone will be released at the end of this month...but yet no Verizon retailers have been notified of this? I have been to several retailers that have no knowledge of a release in the near future (2-3 months).

Does anyone have firm dates? Really want this phone but dont want to wait much longer...may go with Samsung a990 if i have to wait a few months.
Something you may want to consider is that when someone working for a company is under a non-disclosure agreement they are not allowed to tell you about a release date unless its already public knowledge. It is certainly possible that Verizon has alre...

True Release Date?

๐Ÿ˜Ž O.K so can someone tell me the official release date. I see on the home page it says mid July but is there a accurate date yet. i have spoken to several people (6 to be exact) at VZW and not one of them new about the MOTOROLA KC1. They all said that it was going to be a while before VZW releases another MOTORLA phone. ๐Ÿ˜• ๐Ÿ˜• ๐Ÿ˜• ๐Ÿ˜•
Go back and re-read it. The chocolate Lgvx8500 is the one supposed to be out mid july not the motorola KC1 which probably won't be out for a while considering the V3M just came out.

What the hell is wrong with SPRINT???

They are letting all of the good phones slip through their hands!
To add to that, the SPH-A720 by Samsung is all but canned.
...
what's wrong with sprint is that they choose to carry phones with less problems and greater customer satisfaction (samsung and sanyo, respectively). do you not notice that motorola is constantly recalling and having to retool the phones that have been...

Cause it's new and all black.
Please say that was sarcasm... or maybe you're just an average customer, not that there's anything wrong with it.

krzr/ k1c/ canary/ capri?

Exactly what is the new razr/krzr going to be called for Verizon? The info on the home page showed it with Verizon and black. I have to have it with it being black. Is there a forum dedicated to this phone? Just trying to find out all info I can, like always there seems to be so many rumors flying about which carrier gets it and what color etc... Thanks for any input.
I thought it was pretty clear in the news bit.

It will be the RAZR K1c for Verizon.

It looks mostly the same except the hinge.... i assume there are wonderful bells and whistles that my mind con only imagine.... ๐Ÿคจ
whats the difference between this and a v3 razr?

It's narrower and sleeker. It also has a better camera.
It's NEW and IMPROVED!!! and very, very pointless.... ever since VZW got RAZR they been changing the models like underwear. V3C, V3M, K1C, betcha there will be a K1M too, not to mention all the color variants, why even buy a RAZR when next month the n...

Motorola looks sweet

That looks sharp to me. You people are blind.
Its a free world live it up, I don't want an extra long razr with a commie UI, the razr is played out along time ago IMO. The CHOCOLATE phone brings something very fresh to the table. It will be nice to not to have a flip phone for a change.

I Don't Know...

I hate to say it but if the picture is what this phone will look like than the chocolate is way cooler, the picture just looked like another razr to me. โ˜น๏ธ I think they should have made it slider also like the chocolate. Not to impressed and I was hopeing that verizon would get new and improved phones, GUESS not. ๐Ÿ‘ฟ
