Google Makes It Simpler to Manually Update Nexus Phones

Google recently added over-the-air images for Nexus phones to the Google Developers web site. The site already hosts the raw factory images for Nexus phones, which allow developers to manually update their devices to the latest code, but the OTA files are simpler to use. The factory images, for example, need to be installed via PC and Google's developer console. The OTA files still need to be installed via PC, but require only a few commands. Moreover, the OTA files don't require devices to have unlocked bootloaders, whereas the factory images do. Google has posted the more recent OTA images for all Nexus devices from the Nexus 7 through the Pixel C.
