Google said its Inbox email service, when accessed via desktop browsers, now has access to the Smart Reply feature that's been available to the mobile app since last year. Smart Reply makes it possible to (almost) automatically respond to emails. The tool suggests up to three short responses to emails based on the content within. Users need only select the appropriate automatically-generated response and move on. For emails that require a longer, more measured response, Smart Reply will still offer several suggestions to get you started. Smart Reply is powered by machine learning and suggests the most relevant set of possible replies. More than 10% of all email replies sent via the Inbox mobile app take advantage of Smart Reply, according to Google. Inbox is an alternate to Gmail. It is available on the web, and the mobile app is free to download from the Google Play Store and iTunes App Store.
