Mozilla today announced a new version of its Firefox browser for the iOS platform. The most significant new feature is support for 3D Touch on the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus. Pressing the Firefox icon on the home screen will open the Quick Access menu, which has shortcuts to open last bookmark, open a new private tab, or a open new tab. The Peek and Pop features will show previews of tabs and allow users to take action on those tabs, such as copying the URL. The browser also makes changes to searching behavior by allowing users to type queries directly into the Spotlight Search Bar. This can be used to search open tabs, or for text on a specific web page. Firefox is free to download from the iTunes App Store.
